Porsche 917 KH – 50th Anniversary Tribute

Fifty years after Porsche’s first overall victory at Le Mans, the original 917 KH returned to Stuttgart’s Market Square for a commemorative reenactment. The Porsche 917 KH is a legendary racing car, celebrated for its victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1970 and 1971. The “KH” (Kurzheck, German for “short tail”) refers to its more aerodynamic, shorter tail design compared to earlier long-tail versions. Renowned for its speed, reliability, and the groundbreaking use of a magnesium tubular frame—especially in the 1971 model—the 917 KH remains an icon of motorsport history.

this behind-the-scenes feature captures the meticulous restoration, dynamic camera work, and the passion that brought this racing legend back to life.
